Dear Tom:

Now that all of the "mop-up" details of our 1995 AMCEA/Miami Conference have been attended to, just wanted to take a moment on behalf of our organization and thank you for the outstanding job you did as our Opening Business Session humorist.

Quite frankly, you knocked their socks off! As you are now aware, we have some interesting personalities among our rans and "accountant" types many times aren't easily impressed with some things. However, their response to your presentation was greeted with much laughter and truly set the stage for the more serious stuff to follow over the course of the next three days.

All of the humor was great, but we especially enjoyed the Arm & Hammer bit and the final Letterman impersonatation. Both were talked about for the remainder of our Conference.

We are indebted to you for your uplifting humor and talent and are very, very, pleased that your schedule allowed you to fill in for Dave Barry, who ws originally scheduled. Quite frankly, I'm happy he did cancel and we got you because we got the better deal!

Again, our THANKS for your contribution to the success of our Conference.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Thomas, President
